This is a layered artwork that transforms topographic data into a sculptural environmental narrative. Laser‑cut from MDF sheets, the stepped contours reveal the region’s ridges, valleys and coastline, while green layers denote core habitats and intact vegetation. A fine line marking the Northern Beaches LGA boundary sits above the relief, grounding the work within its administrative and ecological context. The ocean is rendered in reflective resin that slightly overlaps the coastline, symbolising sea‑level rise and the shifting boundary between land and water. Blending mapping, materiality and environmental design, the work invites reflection on landscape change, coastal vulnerability and the interdependence of earth, water and living systems.
