I’m Ata, a landscape architect and visual artist working at the intersection of landscape, GIS, mapping, and artistic inquiry.
Through GeoArt, I explore the stories embedded within landscapes. Stories shaped by nature, culture, history, and data. I see maps not simply as tools for representing places, but as a creative medium for revealing the relationships, patterns, and layers that often remain unseen. By transforming complex spatial information into visual narratives, my work explores how places are shaped, experienced, remembered, and understood.
Each landscape contains layers of information: ecological systems, human activity, cultural histories, movement, change, and memory. Through GeoArt, I translate these layers into artworks that are visually engaging while also encouraging curiosity, reflection, and a deeper connection with place.
It is an ongoing exploration of how mapping can move beyond representation and become a language for creativity, public engagement, and new ways of understanding our planet.
Ultimately, GeoArt is about making the invisible visible, inviting people to look at familiar places differently and discover what has always been there, but never noticed.
