The surrounding field of concentric textures recalls the rhythms of Country—echoing landforms, water, growth, and movement across the landscape. Combining cartography with painterly surface and relief-like texture, the artwork transforms measured distance into an expression of belonging, inviting viewers to reflect on Australia’s place in the world and their own geography of connection.
